How long does the battery last?
We are using three 6Ah LiFePo4 batteries which will last around 20 days at 16kHz recording. Running only from batteries.
With the use of the Solar panel:
If the ELOC-S is set up under open sky it can record forever.
Is the ELOC-S under a single tree in the shade the Solar panel can extend the recording time between 4 - 20 days
Where can i order the ELOC-S?
For now the ELOC-S is still in BETA stage. It still needs more testing to become a commercial product.
Can't wait for it? Please contact us.
When will the ELOC-S Detector be available?
I wish i knew 🙂
We already have enough data to feed our AI. And right now our team is working on the AI. First detector prototype is expected to be ready in half year.
Can i change the Microphone?
Not yet.
Can it be used for bats?
For now we develop this device for low frequencies to detect elephant rumbles (Can record up to 16kHz). When we succeeded we will change the hard and software so the ELOC will be capable of recording and listening to ultrasound.
Where can i find the code and PCB design files?
We will publish the files and code as soon as the ELOC-S leaves the BETA stage.
How much does the ELOC-S recorder cost?
The naked recorder without case and battery will cost around 20USD.
A ELOC-S which is ready to use outdoors will cost around 70USD. That will include the aluminum case, batteries and the solar panel.
